Musavviri Photography Competition

Brought to you by The Deccan Archive in collaboration with INTACH Hyderabad

November 19 to November 25 marks the World Heritage Week. Hyderabad is a city with 444 years of rich history. The Deccan, in fact, has been inhabited since the megalithic age. One cannot do justice to the Deccan’s heritage in one lifetime. To observe and celebrate the Deccan’s unique independent identity, we are glad to present the first Musavviri Photography Competition in honour of the most important contributor of Hyderabad’s photographic history - Lala Deen Dayal Musavvir Jung. The theme for the competition is simple: capture Dakhni heritage through your lens, explain your take in a small paragraph, not more than 150 words. Heritage does not mean just old buildings, it can be a tree, a ritual, rock formations, waterbodies, monuments, arts and crafts and the process that goes in the making, or any intangible heritage.

Who can participate? Anyone can participate. The competition is open to all, free of cost. However, the theme of Dakhni heritage must be followed.
