Welcome to The Deccan Archive

Welcome to The Deccan Archive,  an initiative by a bunch of Hyderabadis with a vision to research, document and put forth factually correct and historically accurate narratives of the Deccan. We strive to preserve the rich and varied heritage digitally, by creating an open-source archive of all available material in print, manuscripts, photographs, narratives, anecdotes, personal accounts or any other media. We also raise awareness by conducting heritage walks in Hyderabad.

As part of our outreach program, we conduct heritage walks, workshops and curated experiences with local organisations and artists to raise awareness amongst the masses and initiate dialogues in neighborhoods that are very much forgotten. We also preserve and digitise old books, photographs, video reels, manuscripts and the like. If you have any of these and would like our help, please get in touch with us.

We are always happy to meet like-minded individuals/groups/entities willing to collaborate/network with us. If you are one of those, do fill our contact form and we will get back to you.
