Shaikpet Sarai: Tales from a Cosmopolitan City

Shaikpet sits at a stone's throw from the Qutb Shahi Necropolis and is home to several monuments from the 16th century nestled in its dense lanes. One of them is the famous dargah of Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali, the architect of the Hussain Sagar. We also have the Shaikpet Sarai situated on the medieval Golconda-Bidar highway where travelers sought respite along the ancient trade routes! Join us to learn more about these monuments and the the tales of the cosmopolitan city that was Golconda - Hyderabad.

We meet at the Hussain Shah Wali Dargah (Shaikpet Dargah) at 7 AM on Saturday, 20 May 2023. Here's a Google Maps link of the meeting location.
