About the event
We'll walk through the history of Urdu in the Deccan region of Qutub Shahi times (1518-1687), as we traverse through their necropolis. For the first time, we will also learn how to decipher chronograms using the 'Abjad' system --- followed by an exercise in composing and understanding poetic chronograms. By the end of the three hour session, you will know how to read a chronogram and possibly even compose one!
