Join Deccan Archive for a specialized urban heritage walk through Misrigunj, one of Old Hyderabad’s historically rich neighborhoods, guided by the precise historical lenses of the 1912–1915 Hyderabad Municipal Survey Maps.
Commissioned under the reign of Mir Osman Ali Khan (the VII Nizam) following the devastating Great Musi Flood of 1908, the Leonard Munn survey maps represent one of the finest urban cartographic efforts of the 20th century. In this immersive experience, we bridge the gap between historical cartography and present-day urban life, using these high-resolution, block-by-block maps to navigate the modern streets of Misrigunj.
