Join The Deccan Archive for a walk through the lesser-known stretches of Chadarghat, once a municipality in its own right and a centre of British power in the Deccan.
Through its streets, buildings and neighbourhoods, we will explore how this part of Hyderabad developed around the British Residency, connecting the histories of colonial influence with the everyday lives of its residents. The walk looks beyond the prominent landmarks to trace the institutions, communities and changing urban landscape that shaped Chadarghat’s distinct identity.
