About the event
Join   us for a heritage walk at the British Residency in Hyderabad, a   fascinating place to visit that is a reminder of the British Raj in   India. The residency was built in 1798, and it was the home of the   British Resident in Hyderabad for over a century. The residency was the   scene of many important events in Indian history, including the  Anglo-Mysore Wars and the Freedom Struggle.
Our walk will take you through the gardens, the courtyards, and the   rooms of the residency. You will learn about the people who lived and   worked there, and you will see the many artifacts that have been   preserved. We walk through the Begum's Gardens and learn about the   infamous romance between the British Resident and a Hyderabadi   noblewoman Kirkpatrick which featured in the White Mughals.
The Walk fee includes the entry ticket to the Darbar Hall (Rs 100).   Photography passes (Rs 100) have to be purchased separately or phones   can be deposited in the cloak room if you dont wish to photograph.
